INTERVIEW WITH JEN LEWIS - REBOOT FRANCE

Can you remember how many times you’ve been to Reboot France Jen Lewis?

I had to look this up - 5 TIMES!! People often ask me if it gets a bit repetitive going back year after year, but it never is! Every year there's a new activity, or a twist on what I've done before. From foraging barefoot in a stream, to seeing a beaver on the bike ride or meditating on a SUP - there's always something new from the weird and wonderful brains of Blakey and Bex.

Apart from the French butter, what do you like best about the Retreat?

All the activities are great - some I like more than others. I prefer hiking up hill than down, planks over press ups and anything in water is always a winner for me... Luckily there's always plenty of opportunity to jump in the sea, or the pool in the house. I love how each day is different and I don't have to think/make plans/organise anyone. That might be my favourite part actually, just turning up, being fed, ferried around and having fun. Oh and the food! The food is always amazing, whether on the gastronome week or reboot - I've never had a bad meal!

Oh and the people. They're pretty great - especially the curly haired wanders.

Jen Lewis, what do you like most about the people you meet on the Retreat?

The groups MAKE the week. Everyone starts off very polite and a little shy, but by the end of the week my abs are usually exhausted from laughing so much. I don't know how you do it, but you always attract the most incredible people to the retreats. Some years I've been and known a few people from previous retreats or bayfitness bootcamp, other times I've not known anybody. That can be a little daunting, but actually, they are some of the most memorable weeks for me and I've loved getting to know and make new friends. It's really great when there are people from totally different backgrounds and nationalities.

In five words describe how you feel at the end of the week.

Content. Happy. Energised. Relaxed. Rejuvanated.

What was the best part of this years Retreat Jen Lewis?

Oooooh, that's such a tricky one. Vincent's meals were incredible... ALL OF THEM! As mad as it may sound, but I think it was the final test run. Which, whilst doing it, I hated! But when I finished it was such a proud moment that miraculously I had made an improvement... and managed to keep infront of Amy's sprint finish! Everyone was so supportive and happy with their results, were cheering each other on and were in such a good, happy place after a week of nourishment. It was a very happy group in that moment.

Is there anything we can do to make your experience better?

Just my own pack of butter, thanks! Seriously though, year on year I'm blown away by how you somehow improve something that I don't think needs/is possible to improve. I'm already excited for September... if you'll have me.

If you were an animal what movement would you do to communicate your feelings about Reboot France to someone who’s never been before?

It's tricky to narrow down, but I'll let Timon do the talking here...
